Job Overview
A construction and civil projects organization in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced Safety Officer to support site health, safety, and environmental requirements. The position is responsible for implementing HSE policies, monitoring construction activities, identifying workplace hazards, and ensuring compliance with approved safety procedures and standards.
The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining safe working conditions across construction and civil project sites. Key activities include site inspections, toolbox talks, safety inductions, risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis, Permit-to-Work processes, PPE compliance, and incident investigation.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor site HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify workplace hazards.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are properly implemented.
- Monitor construction and civil activities for compliance with approved safety procedures.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and safety awareness sessions.
- Prepare and maintain HSE reports, inspection records, and incident documentation.
- Monitor proper PPE usage and compliance with safe working practices.
- Support risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Permit-to-Work requirements.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Recommend appropriate preventive and corrective measures.
- Coordinate with project management, supervisors, and site teams on HSE matters.
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the project environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
- NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer in construction and civil projects.
- Strong practical knowledge of workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Good understanding of risk assessment, JSA, toolbox talks, site inspections, and incident reporting.
- Ability to identify unsafe conditions and implement effective corrective and preventive measures.
- Strong communication, coordination, and site-monitoring skills.
- Ability to work independently in a demanding construction environment.
- Candidates currently available in Qatar are preferred.
Salary, Benefits & Career Growth
Salary & Compensation: QAR 5,000 per month, full package.
