As a remote Sales Account Manager supporting the South U.S., you will work closely with commercial, engineering, product management, operations, and customer teams to drive sustainable revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development strategies that generate new customer relationships, revenue growth, and increased market share within assigned territories.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, cold calling, customer meetings, technical discussions, trials, quotations, negotiations, and account development.
- Build trusted relationships with foundry executives, managers, buyers, foremen, supply chain leaders, and technical stakeholders.
- Lead strategies and execution plans for new product innovations, processes, technical solutions, and value-added service launches.
- Coordinate application engineers, product managers, technical managers, customer service, channel partners, operations, quality, and leadership resources to meet customer needs.
- Maintain accurate business development project plans, sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, competitive intelligence, and strategic account updates.
- Partner with customer service and supply chain teams to improve demand planning visibility, inventory levels, delivery performance, and commercial support.
- Facilitate technical trials, application support, quality issue resolution, and successful transitions to account management, channel, and engineering teams.
Must-Have Skills:
- At least 5 years of B2B business development or technical sales experience in foundry or an adjacent industry.
- Strong experience developing and managing professional customer relationships within complex industrial markets.
- Demonstrated knowledge of strategic sales, business development, new product sales, and product launch strategies.
- Ability to understand and apply chemical, structural engineering, materials science, and technical concepts to customer requirements.
- Experience developing sales forecasts, pipeline reports, business plans, financial analyses, and competitive assessments.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and coordinate commercial, technical, quality, supply chain, and operations resources.
- Fluency with Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft BI, ERP systems, and CRM platforms.
- Expert interpersonal communication, negotiation, problem-solving, emotional intelligence, and executive relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to safety best practices, accountability, dependability, initiative, and continuous professional growth.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, metallurgy, business management, sales, marketing, or a related discipline.
- More than 7 years of experience in foundry or an adjacent industry.
- Knowledge of foundry consumables and equipment used in non-ferrous casting operations.
- Experience with aluminum casting, die casting, copper, molten metal, refractories, crucibles, or fluxes.
- Background in mining, automotive, aerospace, chemical, petrochemical, or materials science markets.
- Experience supporting technical trials, application engineering, quality processes, and customer claim resolution.
- Familiarity with channel partner management and long-term strategic account handoffs.
