Sales Engineer

We are hiring for our client an experienced and driven Sales Engineer to spearhead business development and revenue growth across export markets. This role is responsible for driving international expansion by building a robust pipeline, closing high-value capital equipment deals, and establishing long-term partnerships with EPCs, OEMs, and end-users across the MENA region and other target markets.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Revenue Generation

• Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities for vacuum pumps, process equipment, and turnkey projects across MENA, and other target export markets.
• Develop and execute a territory sales plan with quarterly targets aligned to the company's export revenue goals.
• Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline using HubSpot CRM, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely follow-ups.
• Drive proposal development, techno-commercial negotiations, and deal closure for capital equipment orders.

Market Intelligence & Strategy

• Conduct market mapping and competitive analysis to identify positioning opportunities.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and project announcements in the pharma, chemical, refinery, and battery manufacturing sectors.
• Provide structured market feedback to inform product development, pricing, and go-to-market strategy.

Relationship Management & Channel Development

• Build and nurture relationships with EPC contractors, OEMs, process consultants, and end-user procurement teams across target geographies.
• Identify, onboard, and manage channel partners, agents, and distributors in key markets.

Technical Sales & Pre-Sales Support

• Serve as the technical and commercial interface for international enquiries, working closely with the engineering and applications team.
• Conduct technical presentations, plant visits, and product demonstrations for prospective clients.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on technical content, case studies, and application-specific collateral for export markets.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
• MBA or postgraduate qualification in Marketing/International Business is an advantage.
• 4 to 8 years of progressive experience in B2B capital equipment sales, with at least 3 years in international/export markets.
• Strong understanding of EPC procurement processes, tender/bid management, and long sales cycle deal management.
• Demonstrated ability to independently build a market, including channel partner development.
• Experience in the MENA region is preferred.
• Willingness to travel as required.
