Applying for a retail role in Dubai requires a bit more preparation than simply sending your CV. Here are practical tips to increase your chances of getting noticed:
Keep your CV to one or two pages. Include a professional headshot (a recent, well-lit photo against a plain background is standard practice in the UAE). List your visa status clearly — noting that you hold a UAE Spouse Visa will immediately flag you as a priority candidate for this particular role.
If you are currently employed, state your notice period upfront. Employers in Dubai appreciate candidates who are transparent about their availability.
Even if your background is not strictly in perfumes or luxury retail, transferable experience from hospitality, beauty, or any customer-facing role is highly relevant. Frame your CV to emphasize communication, sales, and service skills.
When reaching out via WhatsApp (as indicated in this vacancy), introduce yourself briefly in your first message. State your name, your visa status, your relevant experience, and your availability for an interview. Keep it professional and concise.
For a sales role at a premium brand, how you present yourself in person and in your application photo speaks volumes. Dress professionally for the interview and ensure your communication is confident and warm.
