Detailed Job Description
As a Security Analyst at MACH Consultants in Qatar, you will take full ownership of security monitoring, threat hunting, vulnerability management, and incident triage. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass analyzing alerts from SIEM monitoring platforms, investigating suspicious network traffic and endpoint anomalies, reviewing firewall and proxy logs, and conducting vulnerability scans across enterprise systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to execute incident response playbooks, formulate remediation recommendations, and ensure compliance with security policies. Working in a fast-paced technology consulting environment in Qatar, you will drive proactive threat detection and operational security awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor enterprise security events, SIEM alerts, and threat feeds to detect unauthorized activities and security breaches.
- Investigate security incidents, perform root-cause analysis (RCA), and execute incident containment and eradication playbooks.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration test coordination, and infrastructure security scans.
- Analyze logs from firewalls, proxies, IDS/IPS, DNS security, and endpoint detection solutions.
- Collaborate proactively with security engineers, IT administrators, and incident response teams.
- Formulate risk-based remediation recommendations, security advisories, and incident summary reports.
- Maintain and tune SIEM correlation rules, detection use cases, and alert triage workflows.
- Ensure adherence to corporate security policies, regulatory frameworks, and audit compliance requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive incident logs, investigation notes, and threat intelligence registers.
- Provide expert analytical support during security audits and compliance reviews.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10+ years of professional working experience in security operations, threat analysis, or incident response.
- Strong technical proficiency with SIEM monitoring platforms, log analysis tools, and threat intelligence feeds.
- Solid practical experience conducting vulnerability assessments and managing security remediation lifecycles.
- Deep understanding of networking protocols, operating system security (Microsoft/Linux), and web application threats.
- Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and clear incident reporting communication.
