Senior Finance Manager, Procure-to-Pay

The company is seeking a Senior Finance Manager, Procure-to-Pay to lead its global P2P function within Finance Shared Services. This person will serve as the Global Process Owner and oversee end-to-end operations across areas including vendor master data, purchase requisitions and orders, invoice processing, disbursements, vendor services, corporate cards, escheatment, and related tax reporting.
The role will lead a distributed team of approximately 25 professionals across internal resources and an India-based BPO organization, while partnering closely with Supply Chain, IT, Corporate Accounting, and Operations.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Leading and continuously improving the global Procure-to-Pay process
- Driving standardization and consistency across regions
- Overseeing AP, vendor master, payments, T&E, and related transactional activities
- Partnering with BPO providers and monitoring SLA performance
- Improving controls, compliance, and process governance
- Driving automation and process simplification through RPA, AI, and other technologies
- Supporting ERP and systems enhancements, including SAP S/4HANA and Concur
- Using data and benchmarking to improve operational performance and working capital
- Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing global team
- Partnering across functions to improve both efficiency and the internal stakeholder experience
The ideal candidate will bring:
- 8+ years of progressive experience across Procure-to-Pay, Accounts Payable, T&E, and/or Vendor Master Data
- 5+ years of people leadership experience
- Experience managing P2P operations within a BPO or shared-services environment
- Strong SAP S/4HANA and Concur experience
- A track record of process improvement, automation, and transformation
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, GAAP, and compliance requirements
- Experience within CPG, manufacturing, or another global matrixed organization preferred
- A hands-on, collaborative leadership style with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving and evolving environment
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills
- Candidates should be based in the Chicago area or willing to relocate and comfortable working onsite three days per week.
