Senior Litigation Paralegal

About the Role

Clifton Law is a modern boutique firm building a different kind of legal practice. We're seeking a seasoned and exceptionally experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal—someone who can look at a case, immediately understand where it's going, anticipate what attorneys will need next, and proactively keep the litigation team two steps ahead.

This isn't a traditional paralegal role. You'll work directly with our attorneys across a diverse civil litigation docket—real estate, HOA disputes, construction, business matters, landlord-tenant issues—managing high-quality billable work while maintaining a substantial case load with precision and ownership.

What You'll Do

• Manage and drive a portfolio of active civil litigation matters from filing through resolution
• Maintain litigation calendars, discovery schedules, and all critical deadlines with precision
• Prepare and coordinate pleadings, motions, discovery, exhibits, and court filings
• Prepare attorneys thoroughly for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials—ensuring they're fully briefed and ready
• Organize and synthesize case files so attorneys instantly understand what exists, what's missing, what happens next, and what deadlines loom
• Anticipate upcoming needs;
  identify problems before they become emergencies
• E-file confidently in Washington state and federal courts
• Draft, review, and perform legal research independently or delegate to junior staff
• Sort and route daily mail and receipts to appropriate attorneys and case files—one of those details that prevents things from falling through the cracks

What We're Looking For

You have 5+ years of substantial civil litigation paralegal experience, deep knowledge of Washington procedure, and proven ability to manage multiple active matters simultaneously. You're excellent with detail and deadlines, comfortable working independently, and have strong judgment about when to solve problems yourself and when to surface issues to attorneys quickly. You take genuine ownership, thrive in fast-paced environments, and think systems-first.

Experience with Clio, Google Workspace, and modern legal technology is a plus.

Litigation has real deadlines—in-person work is required when cases demand it. After 90 days, you'll work hybrid (Kirkland office twice/week + remote flexibility).

• Pay: $48/hour (based on experience) + performance-based bonuses
