Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year

Job Description
* Manage a diverse caseload of insurance defense and civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
* Develop and execute effective litigation strategies tailored to each client and case.
* Handle discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
* Represent clients in matters involving premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, professional malpractice, construction litigation, New York Labor Law, municipal law, and related defense matters.
* Analyze liability, damages, coverage, and litigation risks and provide practical recommendations to clients.
* Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, reports, and other litigation documents.
* Communicate directly with clients, insurers, claims professionals, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
* Maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and timely case reporting.
* Work collaboratively with attorneys and legal professionals while exercising sound independent judgment.
Qualifications
* 8+ years of directly relevant defense litigation experience.
* Active New York bar admission in good standing.
* At least 1 year of construction litigation and/or New York Labor Law experience.
* Experience managing litigation matters independently from inception through resolution.
* Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, advocacy, and communication skills.
* Experience handling depositions, discovery, motions, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
* Excellent organization, judgment, attention to detail, and client-service skills.
