To maintain a competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently looking for a new "Senior Software Quality Engineer"

Job purpose:

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to ensure the quality, security, and reliability of our Payments Platform and financial transaction systems. You will own end-to-end testing across mobile applications, backend microservices, APIs, and payment integrations, ensuring every transaction is secure, compliant, and financially accurate. This role is ideal for someone passionate about automation, distributed systems, and building high-quality payment solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and execute end-to-end test strategies for payment transaction flows, including EMV, Sale, authorization, refunds, reversals, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Validate payment workflows across mobile applications, backend microservices, APIs, payment gateways, acquirers, processors, and banking systems.
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks using Java for API, mobile, and backend testing.
• Develop automated regression suites and integrate quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform performance, load, and stress testing to ensure platform scalability and reliability.
• Conduct security testing for encryption, authentication, and OWASP vulnerabilities while supporting PCI DSS and EMV compliance.
• Execute compatibility testing across multiple mobile devices and operating system versions.
• Perform root cause analysis of production issues and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve critical transaction failures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience
• Computer Science/IT/ MCA/ E&C degree , Engineering Degree
• Strong experience with Java and automated testing frameworks.
• Hands-on experience testing Android applications.
• Good understanding of EMV, NFC, Contactless Payments, and ISO 8583.
• Experience with REST APIs, Postman, Rest Assured, and API automation.
• Strong knowledge of Sonarqube, Selenium, Appium, JUnit, and mobile automation.
• Experience with JMeter/Gatling for performance testing.
• Knowledge of OWASP ZAP/Burp Suite and payment security testing.
• Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL and experience validating financial transactions.
• Experience with Kafka, microservices, distributed systems, Git, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines.
