WSP is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Doha. You will work on landmark infrastructure projects, contributing to our global scale and collaborating with talented professionals to create a lasting legacy. This role involves managing commercial and contractual aspects of projects within a supportive, community-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage all quantity surveying, commercial, and contractual aspects of infrastructure projects.
- Review, evaluate, and process contractors' payment applications, variations, change orders, and final accounts.
- Lead the preparation, assessment, negotiation, and settlement of claims related to extensions of time (EOT), disruption, delay, and additional costs.
- Draft, review, and manage contractual correspondence, including formal notices, letters, claims, responses, and commercial communications with contractors and clients.
- Provide expert advice on contract interpretation and ensure compliance with contract conditions, project specifications, and applicable regulations.
- Analyze project records and supporting documentation to substantiate entitlement and quantum for claims.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, commitments, and forecast expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify potential commercial and contractual risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Participate in negotiations and dispute resolution processes related to claims and contractual matters.
- Review tender documents, BOQs, cost estimates, and contractual agreements.
- Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, planners, and legal teams to address commercial and contractual issues.
- Prepare detailed commercial reports, claim assessments, and management presentations.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements, company procedures, and industry best practices.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 20 years of experience in quantity surveying, contract administration, and commercial management.
- Extensive claims management experience on major infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, bridges, utilities, rail, and transportation projects.
- Strong contractual letter writing and correspondence experience, including preparation of notices, claim submissions, rebuttals, and commercial communications.
Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is mandatory.
- Valid MMUP/UPDA Registration is mandatory.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge and practical experience of FIDIC Contracts.
