Senior S3D Tools Administrator – Hexagon Smart 3D

We are a leading outsourcing company in the UAE, delivering recruitment, manpower outsourcing, EOR/PEO, business setup, PRO services, and corporate solutions across the region.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior S3D Tools Administrator to support a major engineering client in Abu Dhabi on a 12-month contract assignment.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in Hexagon Smart 3D (S3D) administration, customization, and development , with hands-on experience in .NET programming, automation, and engineering application enhancements within EPC or Oil & Gas environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Hexagon Smart 3D (S3D) environments, databases, catalogs, and engineering project configurations.
• Develop and customize S3D applications, tools, and workflows using C# and VB.NET.
• Perform Pipe Support customization and S3D Marine customization.
• Design and develop automation tools, custom utilities, reports, and API-based solutions to enhance engineering productivity.
• Troubleshoot application, system, and database-related issues.
• Support system upgrades, testing, implementation, and ongoing S3D enhancements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to engineering and design teams.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Ideally 13–16 years of relevant experience; candidates with slightly less experience but exceptional technical expertise will also be considered.
• Strong hands-on experience in Hexagon Smart 3D (S3D) customization and administration .
• Proven expertise in C# / VB.NET development for S3D applications and engineering workflows.
• Experience with S3D APIs, automation, and custom tool development.
• Practical experience in Pipe Support customization and S3D Marine customization .
• Working knowledge of SQL Server / Oracle databases.
• Experience supporting engineering projects within Oil & Gas, petrochemical, EPC, or related industrial sectors.
• Experience with SmartPlant Foundation (SPF) or other Hexagon engineering applications is an advantage.

What We're Looking For

We are particularly interested in candidates who have actively developed, customized, and enhanced S3D applications , rather than those whose experience is limited to system administration or 3D modeling.

Strong technical capabilities and relevant project experience will be prioritized over strictly meeting the preferred number of years of experience.
