How to apply
Read this description all the way through first. It captures the role in complete depth.
If it fits, fill in the application form at the bottom of this post. Answer with real numbers, the ones you can defend in a conversation, not the ones that look good. We check them.
The form is the only way to apply. Emails, DMs, and resumes sent any other way are not tracked and will not get a reply. If you have not filled the form, you have not applied.
The Vision
Signalmash is a CPaaS company: SMS (10DLC, Toll-Free, and Short Code), RCS, SIP trunking, VoIP PBX solutions, and voice infrastructure. We exist in the same space occupied by Twilio, Telnyx, and Bandwidth. We run an established, revenue-generating wholesale voice business with a stronghold in text messaging services for US businesses. (Preferable) Experience with voice and SMS in omnichannel communications is a strong plus, but drive matters more than background. If you're self-motivated, accountable, and eager to master new technologies alongside a collaborative team, we want to hear from you.
Our customers today come from inbound demand and from our reputation in the voice market. What we have not built yet is the outbound muscle; no validated outbound ICP, no battle-tested messaging, no internal conversion benchmarks. That is not a gap we are hiding, it is the job.
We are actively looking to hire four dedicated & experienced Sales Development Representatives (SDR’s) to build the outbound motion from first principles: figure out which ICP converts, what messaging converts leads into clients, what objections exist in the market and work as a team to determine a path forward on how to beat them, and turn all of it into a documented playbook. If you have only ever executed someone else's playbook, this role might not be for you. If you’ve always wanted to be the person who has a say on what needs to be done to create a successful playbook, you’re in the right place.
Why This Beats a Bigger Logo
- Ownership, not headcount: At a large company you are an employee number, potentially one templated email away from a layoff. With Signalmash, you have a name, your work is visible to the entire company, and the playbook you build carries your fingerprints.
- You will work directly with the founding team and C-Suite executives. The people taking the meetings you book are the same people you work side by side with. No layers, no politics, no waiting three levels for a decision.
- A real leadership path: Whoever builds the playbook and proves a predictable pipeline earns the shot at heading the outbound team, hiring and building it around their own system. We expect to make that call within 6 to 12 months, decided on results, not tenure.
- Skills that compound: This is where actual selling ability gets tested and built; cold conversations, message crafting, & market discovery – The rep who does this well becomes twice the professional they were. You will learn new skills & tactics as you grow with the company, skills that have overlap into any software-based company.
What You Will Do
- Own the full outbound motion for your territory/ICP: account selection, contact mapping, multi-channel cadences (calls, email, LinkedIn), and booking qualified meetings for the AE team.
- Form and test ICP hypotheses against our strongest signal, our existing customer base, and kill or scale them based on data.
- Build the playbook as you go: messaging that gets responses, an objection taxonomy with working rebuttals, cadence structures, and internal benchmarks.
- Run a written learning log and a weekly funnel review with the sales team. You get full transparency and support on tap; you drive your own ramp.
Hours and Work-Life Commitments
This is a US-hours role: 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM IST, covering East Coast mornings through West Coast afternoons. We are specific about balance instead of vague about culture:
- No day-shift meetings stacked on top of your night.
- Saturdays and Sundays fully off. No weekend pipeline reviews, ever.
- Recover, rejuvenate, and start each week fresh. We believe that burned-out reps build nothing, and it’s important to get the rest you need to excel.
Compensation
₹18,00,000 fixed base. On-target earnings above ₹25 lakh.(with a bridge during RAMP period) Uncapped variables with accelerators that pay more per meeting as you pass quota, plus health insurance and allowances (full CTC discussed during the process), plus we are willing to set up reasonable personal sales-tool on top of our stack.
We share the complete compensation mechanics, our real funnel numbers, and your full first-90-days plan in a candidate pack after the initial screening call.
Who We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of outbound B2B SaaS sales experience selling into the US market with average deal size of $2500+/month, with the call recordings and funnel numbers to prove it.
- Immaculate English, spoken and written, near-native fluency. You will spend your day on the phone with US decision-makers.
- Evidence of building, not just running: a territory you opened, messaging you wrote, a process you created that others used.
- Experience of handling mid-market deals with multiple stakeholders.
- Structured and self-directed. Full transparency and support, but no script handed to you, because none exists yet.
- Comfortable with technical products, sales AI workflows or demonstrably fast at learning them.
Remote Setup Requirements
- Dedicated quiet workspace
- Reliable high-speed internet with a backup connection
- Power backup solutions.
Process
Two rounds. That is the whole process.
- Round 1 — Skills assessment. We go through what you wrote on the form, next to your actual funnel data and your call recordings. Expect to be asked how you arrived at each number, what you counted as a connection, and which calls actually worked and why. If what you wrote does not survive this conversation, it ends here.
- Round 2 — Fit. Less about what you have done, more about how you think. We will put problems from our market in front of you that have no clean answer and work through them with you: which ICP you would test first and how you would know if you were wrong, whether a dead week means the messaging is off or the list is, what you would do in your first week with no script and no benchmarks to copy. We are hiring someone to build the playbook, not run one, so your reasoning matters more than your polish.
Our teams are transparent about everything; we expect the same from anyone who joins Signalmash, for their success and the company’s.
