About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Systems Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the organization's Infrastructure. The primary responsibility of L2 Monitoring is to ensure the basic operational functionality of IT Systems, networks, backups, and other infrastructure services. The Engineer plays a more specialized and advanced role compared to Level 1 (L1) Monitoring personnel. L2 engineers are responsible for handling complex issues and incidents that require a deeper understanding of systems, networks, and monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Advanced Troubleshooting: L2 engineers are skilled in diagnosing and resolving complex issues that couldn't be resolved at the L1 level. They often have broader technical knowledge and can perform in-depth analyses of problems.
• Incident Management: Managing and overseeing the resolution of incidents that have been escalated from the L1 team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues escalated by the L1 or helpdesk teams.
• Leadership skills to lead and manage major incidents and critical Changes.
• Vendor and Stakeholder Interaction: Interacting with vendors to troubleshoot issues with monitoring tools or systems, as well as communicating with stakeholders to provide updates on critical incidents and their resolutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in Systems Administration
• Worked in SLA based environments using ITIL principles
• Experience with ServiceNow or a similar incident management tool.
• Knowledge of technologies such as Servers OS(Windows/Linux), Switches, Routers and other Infrastructure Devices.
• Experience with backup and recovery procedures.
• Problem Management - ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues,
• Ability to understand and work as per documented work instructions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Leadership skills to lead and manage database projects and initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Experience with basic automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible or Terraform
