Senior Trade Compliance Manager

The Sr. Trade Compliance Manager is responsible for leading trade compliance activities across the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META) region, with oversight of customs-related controls, export controls, and internal trade compliance processes.

The role will ensure that business transactions comply with applicable trade compliance regulations and internal policies, while providing practical guidance to operational and commercial teams to enable compliant business execution.

The position requires strong leadership and coordination with internal stakeholders, including Trade Compliance, Legal, Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales, and regional business leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Middle East Trade Compliance Team, managing import and export compliance activities across the META region, and ensuring alignment with applicable customs, export control, sanctions, and internal trade compliance requirements.
• Oversee customs and import processes, including tariff classification (in collaboration with HTS classification team), country of origin, valuation, documentation accuracy, broker management, and import recordkeeping.
• Review and approve import and export documentation to ensure compliant shipment execution and accurate customs declarations.
• Partner with logistics, supply chain, sales, and business teams to resolve customs clearance issues, export hold matters, shipment delays, and trade compliance questions.
• Develop, maintain, and improve regional trade compliance procedures, controls, and work instructions covering both import and export activities.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective management of import/export transactions and related compliance documentation.
• Conduct or support internal compliance reviews, audits, and corrective actions related to customs/import and export compliance processes.
• Maintain accurate trade compliance records to support audit readiness, regulatory inquiries, and internal reporting requirements.
• Deliver training and awareness sessions to internal stakeholders on customs/import requirements, export controls, sanctions compliance, and shipment execution procedures.

Qualifications

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of META customs and export control regulations
• Familiarity with international shipping and trade processes.
• Experience using SAP
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and follow established processes.
• Good communication skills (English required; Arabic is a plus).

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or related field or commensurate experience
• 3-5 years of experience in Trade Compliance, Logistics, or Export Controls.
• Experience in a multinational environment is preferred.
• Exposure to META region is a plus.
• Arabic is a plus.
