Job Description
- Manage daily maritime transportation activities to ensure operations run smoothly, safely, and according to established schedules.
- Lead and supervise operational staff by assigning responsibilities, providing guidance, and encouraging continuous improvement in team performance.
- Monitor transportation performance indicators and prepare regular reports, operational summaries, and updates to support management decisions.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to share operational information, address requirements, and maintain an efficient workflow.
- Review transportation processes to identify opportunities for improving productivity, using resources effectively, and controlling operating expenses.
- Ensure maritime transport activities comply with applicable laws, safety regulations, industry standards, and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate operational records and ensure all required data is correctly entered and updated in the company’s management systems.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening logistics processes, service reliability, and overall operational performance.
Job Details Experience
- Practical experience using OTMS or similar transportation management and operational software.
- Previous experience in maritime logistics, container transportation, shipping, freight operations, or a related field is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and staff management abilities, with the capacity to guide teams and maintain consistent operational standards.
- Good decision-making and problem-solving skills, including the ability to respond effectively to unexpected situations and operational pressure.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with different departments and operational teams.
- A responsible and proactive approach to maintaining safety, service quality, and compliance with established procedures.
