Technical Support Engineer
– Required qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience in field service, commissioning or technical support related to Aeroderivative type gas turbines, preferably with A65 experience.
- Experience with centrifugal compressors is preferred but not mandatory.
- Engineering degree, preferably in mechanical engineering.
- Excellent customer communication skills and the ability to provide clear solutions.
- Previous experience in assignment and work in a field service environment.
– Responsibilities:
- Working as a key technical point of contact with customers and a channel of communication with Siemens Energy's technical support network.
- Investigating problems affecting the safety and reliability of the A65 turbine fleet and finding appropriate solutions.
- Preparing and submitting technical bulletins, instructions, and technical reports related to maintenance and problems.
- Supporting regional teams and the Operational Support Office in handling complex and specialized issues.
- Participate in the Management of Change (MOC) process and provide appropriate technical support.
- Determine the scope of the planned maintenance and the time periods required for it, in addition to reviewing the definition of modifications and parts required.
- Review inspection reports and prepare inspection test plans.
- Providing project reports that include key performance indicators (KPIs) and maintaining maintenance records.
- Managing diagnostic reports and communicating with field service representatives to ensure proper implementation of standard technical instructions.
- Providing support in cases of unplanned maintenance such as breakdowns or failures to start up.
