SME HSE Manager

Location : Dubai

Job Purpose: The HSE Manager is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the QHSE system in the Southern Middle East Area. The geograhy covers UAE Oman Pakistan and Kuwait. He/she performs the job in the framework of the BV Quality Assurance Systems the Code of Ethics and the appropriate Group policies in the area.

F o r the quality management system his/her responsibilities & authorities includes :

• Maintain and improve the Quality System in the SME Area.
• E nsure that processes and procedures needed for the applicable management system (ISO/IEC 17065 ISO/IEC 17020 ISO 9001 etc.) are established implemented and maintained.
• R eporting to BV top management on the performance of the management system and any need for improvement as applicable.
• Ensure business processes are accessed understood and complied within the SME Area.
• A r r ange/conduct internal audits against applicable accreditation and certification standards.
• Analyze objectives of Departments as per set HSE policies and procedures.
• Ensure that appropriate monitoring is being done in the Area.
• R e s ponsible f or staff training on quality applicable accreditation and certification standards.
• Ensure effective implementation & follow up of customer surveys.
• Manage & follow up customer complaints received in the Area.
• Implement preventive & corrective actions and ensure appropriate follow up.
• Inform the SME Area staff about BV knowledge management tools & other follow up tools as applicable.
• Follow up of non-conformities / corrective & preventive actions for the Area.

F o r the HSE management system his/her responsibilities & authorities includes:

• Ensure HSE induction training is given to all employees including new entrants.
• Maintain and improve HSE system in the SME Area.
• E nsure that processes and procedures needed for the applicable management system (ISO 14001 ISO 45001..) are established implemented and maintained.
• R eporting to BV Dubai top management/MER management on the performance of the management system and any need for improvement as applicable.
• Coordinate with all concerned for HSE matters of the Area
• Follow up and/or conduct awareness training for HSE related topics as applicable.
• Comply a t all times with all applicable legal requirements BV HSE Policies/guidelines Manual and procedures clients HSE procedures and code of practices.
• Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation/fault/hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/supervisor.
• R eport immediately any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.
• Report immediately any HSE incident and cooperate in investigation.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of HSE management experience out of which 5 years in a corporate HSE environment.
• B achelors d egree in Occupational Health Safety Environmental Science or related field
• Professional HSE certification (e.g. NEBOSH OSHA)
• 5 years of HSE management experience
• Trained as auditor ISO 9001
• Good Knowledge of ISO 17020 ISO 17065 applicable HSE standards
• Fluent in English and Arabic
