Sr. Accountant Treasury

The Treasury Sr. Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day execution of treasury operations including but not limited to: bank transactions including verification and upload/process of payments, LC & LG, cash positioning, treasury accounting, managing banking exposure and reporting.

The role ensures accurate recording and reconciliation of cash, debt, and banking activity, supports liquidity and cash flow forecasting, and helps maintain compliance with treasury policies and internal controls across a multi-entity and project-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily cash position reports and support short and long-term cash flow forecasting.
• Monitor daily liquidity and account balances and elevate funding requirements for operations and projects.
• Execute inter-company transfers, cash pooling movements, and payment runs across entities and accounts.
• Act as day-to-day contact with banks on transactions, documentation, and account administration.
• Maintain loan schedules, calculate interest, and prepare data for covenant compliance reporting.
• Perform bank reconciliations and prepare treasury-related journal entries and month-end closing schedules.
• Record and reconcile foreign exchange transactions, revaluations, and realized/unrealized FX gains and losses.
• Support working capital monitoring (AR, AP, inventory) in coordination with finance and operations.
• Process and track bank guarantees, performance bonds, and letters of credit, including issuance, amendment, and expiry follow-up.
• Apply treasury policies and internal controls and provide schedules and support to internal and external auditors.
• Prepare treasury reports, dashboards, and forecast input for the Treasury Manager and management.
• Maintain and update liquidity ratios, cash buffer trackers, and key treasury KPIs.
• Coordinate banking documentation and authorized signatory updates per approved DOA.
• Ensure proper accounting treatment of treasury transactions in accordance with IFRS, or applicable accounting standards.

Skills & Experience:

• Solid hands-on experience in cash management, bank reconciliations, and banking operations.
• Solid working knowledge of trade finance instruments — letters of credit (LC) and letters of guarantee (LG), including issuance, amendment, extension, expiry and claim handling — along with debt instruments and other treasury products.
• Experience accounting for FX transactions, revaluations, and interest calculations AED 15000+.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax fundamentals as they apply to treasury transactions — bank charges, interest, FX differences, and inter-company balances — including supporting VAT return and tax filing inputs.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and Excel/ERP skills, with high attention to detail.
• Experience in large, multi-entity or project-based organizations preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Professional certification preferred: CTP, AMCT / MCT (treasury), or ACCA / CPA / CMA (accounting).
• 6–9 years of experience in treasury, cash management, or accounting, including at least 2 years in a dedicated treasury function.
