Job Description * Represent developers, property owners, and institutional clients in sophisticated land use, zoning, and permitting matters. * Lead clients through appearances before Connecticut zoning, planning, inland wetlands, and other municipal boards and commissions. * Advise clients on variances, special permits, site plan approvals, entitlements, and development strategies. * Build and strengthen client relationships while maintaining and expanding a substantial portable book of business. * Develop new business and referral relationships within the Connecticut real estate, development, municipal, and land use communities. * Collaborate with Real Estate, Environmental, Litigation, Corporate, and other practice groups to provide seamless client service. * Contribute to practice growth, firm initiatives, business development, and leadership activities. * Mentor junior attorneys and serve as a resource for developing land use and zoning talent. Qualifications * Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. * Active Connecticut Bar license in good standing. * 5+ years of concentrated land use and zoning law experience. * $500K+ portable book of business with demonstrated client origination and business development success. * Significant experience appearing before Connecticut municipal land use boards and commissions. * Strong professional reputation within the Connecticut land use, zoning, real estate, and development community. * Excellent advocacy, drafting, negotiation, and client-management skills. * New York Bar admission is a plus.
