Tax Accountant – Australian Taxation

Technoville Consultants is hiring an Australian Tax Accountant to prepare and review tax returns for Australian clients. This role is for professionals already working in Australian taxation. Freshers and candidates with only Indian tax or general accounting experience are unlikely to be a fit.

Role Details

• Experience: 1-2 years in Australian taxation
• Domain: Australian taxation and compliance

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Australian tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships
• Handle Division 7A, FBT, CGT, GST and income tax matters
• Review tax files to identify risks, issues and tax-planning opportunities
• Support ATO lodgements, audits and compliance requirements
• Communicate directly with Australian clients and managers to resolve tax queries
• Prepare working papers, schedules, correspondence and supporting documentation
• Keep up to date with changes in Australian tax legislation and apply them accurately
• Manage multiple client files within deadlines

Apply If You Have

• 1-2 years of hands-on Australian tax experience, not just general accounting
• Working knowledge of Division 7A, FBT, CGT and GST
• Experience preparing returns for more than one entity type
• Experience with Australian tax or accounting software
• Good written and spoken English
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Preferred

• Experience with ATO Online Services and the Tax Agent Portal
• Background in an offshore accounting or taxation firm, or a CA/CPA firm handling Australian clients
