Incendia Partners is partnering with a Fortune 500 employer headquartered in Richmond to identify a Technical Accounting Manager. This is a corporate accounting position focused on leading technical accounting, SEC reporting, financial reporting, and accounting research, while supporting strategic financial analysis and process improvements. Compensation: Base salary of $120-$135K plus 12% annual bonus and 13-17% annual profit sharing, for total compensation of up to $175K. Why Join This Team?

Responsibilities Overview
Lead research of complex accounting issues and develop technical accounting analyses and conclusions
Prepare and maintain SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and related disclosures
Prepare accounting memos, technical analyses, and audit-ready documentation
Assess and support the adoption of new accounting standards and regulatory guidance
Support SOX compliance, disclosure controls, and the financial reporting control environment
Partner with finance, legal, business leaders, and external auditors on complex transactions and reporting matters
Drive improvements to financial reporting processes through automation and continuous improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, timely financial reporting
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA strongly preferred
6+ years of progressive experience in public accounting, SEC reporting, consolidations, technical accounting, or a combination of these areas
Experience preparing, reviewing, or significantly contributing to SEC filings
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Experience with SOX compliance, disclosure controls, or internal controls over financial reporting
Experience preparing technical accounting memoranda and analyses for complex accounting matters
