Role Description

The Test and Calibration Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha. This role is responsible for testing, calibrating, and validating air quality sensors, HVAC monitoring devices, and related control systems to ensure accurate performance and compliance with technical standards. Daily tasks include developing and executing test plans, documenting test results, identifying and troubleshooting issues, and performing routine and preventive calibration activities. The engineer will collaborate with product development, operations, and field teams to support deployments, maintain test equipment and calibration tools, and help improve testing procedures and quality assurance processes. The role also involves preparing technical reports, supporting customer installations when needed, and ensuring safety and regulatory guidelines are followed in all testing and calibration work.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in test engineering and calibration of electronic sensors, instrumentation, or HVAC-related devices.
• Proficiency in using measurement tools and test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, calibration rigs, data loggers).
• Experience developing and following test procedures, documenting results, and maintaining calibration records.
• Knowledge of building systems, HVAC controls, air quality standards, or building automation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Comfort working on-site in mechanical and electrical rooms, and following safety protocols and relevant regulations.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Previous experience in testing, commissioning, or calibration in building services, industrial automation, or a similar environment is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to evolving project requirements.
