Mountain Labs is a hardware technology company founded in 2022 in Gebze, Türkiye. We specialize in indoor air quality (IAQ) monitoring systems, developing two lines of solutions: privacy-first, cloud-independent consumer devices, and scalable sensor infrastructure for enterprise clients across the world. Mountain Labs is part of the İTÜ Çekirdek accelerator program.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Test and Calibration Engineer to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and production quality of our air quality monitoring devices in Doha/Qatar. The successful candidate will own all measurement quality processes, from R&D validation through to mass production testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement calibration procedures for gas (CO₂, VOC, etc.), particulate matter (PM1/PM2.5/PM10), temperature, and humidity sensors
• Perform comparative measurements against reference instruments to assess accuracy, repeatability, and long‑term stability
• Characterize sensor behavior under varying environmental conditions using climate chambers and gas test setups; contribute to the development of temperature and humidity compensation models
• Design and commission functional and end‑of‑line test fixtures for the production line
• Automate test and calibration workflows using Python‑based tools; analyze and report measurement data
• Maintain measurement traceability, including calibration tracking and documentation of reference instruments
• Plan and execute product validation (DVT/PVT) activities; conduct failure analysis in coordination with hardware and embedded software teams
• Prepare technical documentation for certification and customer acceptance testing in enterprise projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Engineering Physics, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in testing, measurement, or calibration
• Solid understanding of measurement uncertainty, calibration methods, and statistical data analysis
• Proficiency in Python for test automation and data analysis (pandas, NumPy, or similar libraries)
• Hands‑on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and data acquisition systems
• Working knowledge of serial communication protocols (UART, I²C, SPI)
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience calibrating gas or particulate matter sensors
• Experience with climate chambers and gas mixing/dilution systems
• Experience setting up production test lines or designing test fixtures in a mass manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with building health certification programs such as RESET or WELL
