The Trainee Underwriter will support the underwriting team in assessing and evaluating risks for individual and group health insurance policies This role is designed to develop the trainee s skills and knowledge in underwriting enabling them to contribute effectively to the team and grow within the company
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in analyzing and evaluating risks for potential clients to determine coverage needs and premium costs
- Work closely with senior underwriters to learn the principles and practices of underwriting
- Prepare and review underwriting documentation and reports
- Support the underwriting team in maintaining accurate records and databases
- Communicate with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for risk assessment
- Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance underwriting knowledge and skills
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and industry standards
Qualifications
- Must be a UAE National.
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Eagerness to learn and develop a career in underwriting.
