A major LNG project in Ras Laffan, Qatar is currently looking for experienced and certified Mechanical Technicians / Supervisors to support project start-up activities. The opportunity is offered initially for two months, with the possibility of extension , making it suitable for mechanical professionals with strong LNG and rotating equipment experience.

The selected candidates will be expected to support mechanical maintenance and start-up activities while maintaining safe and reliable operation of mechanical equipment.
Qualification Requirements:Applicants should have a Diploma, ITI, or recognised mechanical trade qualification . Candidates must also have a minimum of 5 years of relevant mechanical maintenance experience .
The position requires practical field experience rather than only theoretical knowledge. Candidates should be comfortable working with industrial mechanical equipment and handling maintenance activities in demanding project environments.
Most importantly, previous Qatar LNG project experience is mandatory for this vacancy. Applicants who do not have relevant Qatar LNG project experience may not meet the stated requirement.
Required Mechanical Experience:The successful candidate should have strong hands-on experience with pumps and rotating equipment . Knowledge of rotating machinery maintenance is particularly important for this role.

Candidates should be able to identify mechanical problems, carry out troubleshooting, and support repairs efficiently while following project safety and maintenance procedures.
Breakdown and Unplanned Maintenance Experience:Strong experience in breakdown and unplanned maintenance is one of the key requirements for this position. Mechanical technicians may be required to respond to equipment failures and help restore machinery to safe operating condition.
Practical knowledge of troubleshooting pumps and other rotating equipment can be particularly valuable during LNG project start-up activities, where equipment reliability and timely maintenance are important.
Candidates should be capable of working under pressure and coordinating with other maintenance personnel when responding to mechanical equipment problems.
Supervisory Experience:The vacancy is also suitable for mechanical professionals who have experience working in a supervisory capacity.
Applicants should have experience leading small mechanical work groups and coordinating maintenance activities in the field.
