Writer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Writer role based in Doha, Qatar. The Writer will develop clear, engaging written content for various formats, including articles, reports, web pages, internal communications, and marketing materials. Daily responsibilities include researching topics, drafting and revising content, collaborating with editors and subject matter experts, and adapting tone and style to different audiences and channels. The role also involves meeting strict deadlines, maintaining brand voice consistency, and ensuring all content complies with organizational standards and local regulations. The Writer will participate in content planning meetings, support campaign and project documentation, and contribute ideas to improve communication and storytelling.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, structured, and error-free content in English.
• Proficiency in research and information gathering to create accurate, well-informed written materials.
• Ability to tailor content for different audiences, platforms, and purposes, including professional, corporate, and public-facing communications.
• Excellent attention to detail, including grammar, style, and factual accuracy.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Media, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with digital tools for document creation, content management, and collaboration (e.g., word processing, CMS, project management platforms).
• Experience working in multicultural environments and sensitivity to diverse audiences; knowledge of the Gulf region is an advantage.
• Prior professional writing experience in corporate, media, or agency settings in Qatar or internationally is preferred.
