Position Summary SEHA is seeking an experienced Specialist or Consultant Anesthesiologist to join the healthcare team in the Al Dhafra Region, Abu Dhabi . The successful candidate will provide safe, high-quality anesthesia and perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures, working collaboratively with surgeons, nursing teams, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities - Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthetic assessments and develop appropriate anesthesia plans.
- Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia according to the patient's condition and planned procedure.
- Monitor and manage patients throughout the perioperative period, including post-anesthesia recovery.
- Identify and manage anesthesia-related complications and emergencies.
- Participate in pain management and perioperative clinical services as required.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical documentation.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Adhere to applicable clinical standards, patient safety requirements, and organizational policies.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement activities, and continuing medical education.
Qualifications & Experience - Medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification or board certification in Anesthesiology/Anesthesia .
- Eligible for DOH Abu Dhabi licensure at Specialist or Consultant level, as applicable to the candidate's qualifications and experience.
- Relevant post-qualification clinical experience in Anesthesiology.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
