Clinical Psychologist

We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Long Island Mind and Body Medicine. We are a mental health practice located at 520 Franklin Avenue in Garden City, NY. Our growing practice includes Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Therapist and TMS Therapy. 

Role Description  This is a full-time or part-time on-site and telehealth position for a New York State Licensed Clinical Psychologist. This clinician will provide individual, couples, and/or group psychotherapy, conduct diagnostic assessments, and develop treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical documentation and coordinating care with other health professionals as needed. The role also involves monitoring treatment progress, providing crisis intervention when appropriate, and participating in case consultations and team meetings.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Psychology and Counseling Psychology, with the ability to apply evidence-based interventions across diverse populations.
• Demonstrated expertise in Mental Health care, including diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, and ongoing therapeutic support.
• Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a psychologist in the state of New York.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with a commitment to ethical, culturally responsive practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting, experience with trauma care and manage a full caseload on-site.
