Job Summary: We are seeking an Electrical Estimation Engineer with a minimum of 2 to 4 years of UAE experience in MEP estimation within the construction industry. The candidate should have hands-on experience in electrical and ELV quantity take-offs, cost estimation, pricing, and preparation of tender submissions.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs for electrical and ELV systems for MEP construction projects.
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs from electrical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to identify project requirements and potential discrepancies.
- Prepare material, labour, and installation cost estimates based on project requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
- Analyse costs, compare quotations, and assist in preparing tender submissions.
- Coordinate with the procurement, technical, and project teams to clarify requirements and optimise costs.
- Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and submitted within the required deadlines.
Job Requirements - Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in electrical estimation within the MEP construction industry.
- Hands-on experience in quantity take-offs for electrical and ELV systems.
- Good knowledge of ELV systems, including CCTV, access control, structured cabling, fire alarm, and other related systems.
- Strong understanding of MEP construction costs, material pricing, labour rates, and installation costs.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs.
- Experience in preparing cost estimates, tender pricing, and BOQ evaluations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation-related software.
- Good analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile A detail-oriented candidate with practical UAE MEP estimation experience, strong electrical and ELV technical knowledge, and the ability to prepare accurate and competitive project estimates.
