As an Extrusion Operator supporting advanced packaging manufacturing at Al Bayader International in Qatar, you will take full operational and technical ownership of extrusion line setups, material feeding, thermal profiling, and finished roll quality. Your day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring extruder temperatures and pressures, conducting quality checks for thickness and appearance, troubleshooting extrusion anomalies, and maintaining production logs. You will utilize your proactive, hands‑on technical skills to minimize waste and maximize output. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, and adjust plastic extrusion lines, sheet lines, or blown film lines in a packaging manufacturing facility in Qatar.
- Set up and monitor temperature profiles, barrel heats, die temperatures, and screw speeds according to technical specifications.
- Monitor extrusion output quality, thickness uniformity, width specifications, and winding tension continuously.
- Perform material loading, resin blending, and color masterbatch dosing operations safely and accurately.
- Troubleshoot extrusion process anomalies (e.g., surging, thickness variation, gauge bands, contamination) and execute corrective actions.
- Perform routine machine cleaning, filter screen changes, and basic mechanical maintenance tasks.
- Maintain meticulous shift logs, raw material usage records, and waste reports.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines, factory rules, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Technical Diploma or High School Diploma with specialized vocational training in plastics processing or mechanical technology.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive professional experience operating plastic extrusion lines within the packaging or plastics manufacturing industry.
- Strong practical hands‑on expertise in single‑screw extruders, sheet dies, chill rolls, and winding systems.
- In‑depth knowledge of thermoplastic resins (PP, PS, PE) and polymer extrusion principles.
- Good mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic measuring tools.
- Mandatory legal work eligibility in Qatar with local residency and availability for on‑site operations in Qatar.
