Detailed Job Description As an FI Cross-sell Activation Business Analyst, you will take total ownership of analyzing Financial Institutions client portfolios, product usage data, and revenue streams to uncover strategic cross-sell opportunities. Your daily responsibilities will span comprehensive business requirements gathering, drafting Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), and mapping AS-IS and TO-BE processes for client onboarding, fulfillment, monitoring, and lifecycle activities. Operating in a collaborative international banking ecosystem, you will work closely with FI Coverage, Product, GTB, Lending, Global Markets, Operations, Risk, and Technology teams to optimize customer journeys and accelerate product adoption. Furthermore, you will track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), monitor implementation progress, support automation and governance reporting, and ensure all initiatives strictly comply with internal risk, regulatory, and control frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse FI client portfolios, product usage patterns, and revenue metrics to identify high-value cross-sell and wallet-share expansion opportunities.
Gather, document, and analyze comprehensive business requirements and Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) across banking domains.
Map and re-engineer AS-IS and TO-BE processes for client onboarding, service fulfilment, monitoring, and end-to-end lifecycle activities.
Support product adoption, client journey enhancements, and continuous process optimization initiatives across international markets.
Collaborate seamlessly with FI Coverage, Product, GTB, Lending, Global Markets, Operations, Risk, and Technology cross-functional teams.
Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), business benefits, revenue realization milestones, and implementation progress regularly.
Support workflow automation, operating model enhancements, and executive governance reporting.
Ensure all operational initiatives comply with relevant risk management, regulatory mandates, and internal control requirements.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, or a related commercial discipline.
12+ years of total professional experience with 7+ years of relevant banking experience, preferably within a prominent international bank.
Mandatory and proven professional experience working within Financial Institutions (FI) Banking and cross-sell domains.
Extensive expertise in business analysis, requirements elicitation, process mapping, and authoring BRDs.
Strong process improvement experience with a track record of redesigning onboarding and client lifecycle workflows.
Good understanding of Global Trade Business (GTB), Lending, Cash Management, and/or Global Markets products.
Proven experience in cross-sell, client lifecycle, onboarding, or large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
Outstanding analytical, stakeholder management, cross-functional communication, and problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or professional certifications in banking and project management (e.g., CBAP, PMP).
Prior professional experience managing FI client portfolios across Turkey, Egypt, or the broader Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Advanced data analytics skills using SQL, Tableau, or Power BI for portfolio segmentation and revenue modeling.
Familiarity with trade finance platforms, SWIFT messaging standards, and core banking transaction systems.
Experience supporting agile digital transformation projects in tier-1 financial institutions.
