Legal Counsel
Location: Dubai, UAE
We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join an established oil trading business, reporting to the General Counsel and supporting a broad range of commercial, operational and corporate legal matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate oil trading contracts, GT&Cs, charterparties and commercial agreements.
- Advise on legal matters relating to oil trading, shipping and trade finance.
- Support disputes, arbitration, litigation and contractual claims.
- Assist with legal risk management, compliance and the development of standard documentation.
- Provide support on corporate governance, entity formation and shareholder matters.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ legal experience in private practice or in-house.
- Qualified in a common law jurisdiction.
- Strong knowledge of English law.
- Experience in oil trading, commodities, shipping or maritime law.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to work in a fast-paced trading environment.
