Mechanical QA/QC

Key Responsibilities

Review project specifications mechanical drawings method statements material submittals and Inspection and Test Plans ITPs Inspect incoming materials and equipment verifying certificates approvals condition and traceability Conduct site inspections of mechanical works including HVAC plumbing drainage firefighting piping and equipment installation as applicable to the project Verify installation quality against approved drawings manufacturer instructions and project requirements Raise and coordinate material and work inspection requests with consultants clients and subcontractors Witness pressure testing flushing leak testing equipment performance testing and commissioning activities Review welding procedures welder qualifications and nondestructive testing records where required Identify nonconforming work issue Nonconformance Reports NCRs and verify corrective actions before closure Monitor subcontractor quality performance and support quality audits Verify that inspection and testing equipment has valid calibration certificates Maintain inspection reports test records checklists NCR registers and other quality documentation Prepare quality handover dossiers including approved records as-built drawings warranties and operation and maintenance manuals Takes measurements of materials upon delivery from suppliers before commencement of the works and after installation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant qualification.
• Typically 5 years o f mechanical QA/QC experience in construction, MEP, industrial, or oil and gas projects, depending on project needs.
• Knowledge of applicable mechanical codes and standards, such as ASME, AWS, NFPA, and relevant local authority requirements.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and ISO 9001 principles.
• Relevant inspection, welding, or quality certifications are an advantage where applicable.
