About the role

Payroll at slice isn’t just about salaries hitting accounts it’s about trust landing on time, every time.

You’ll own the entire payroll engine end-to-end. From inputs to payouts to compliance, you’ll make sure everything runs like clockwork (the kind that never needs fixing). Expect cross-team collaboration, real ownership, and plenty of room to simplify the complex.

What you’ll do

• Run end-to-end payroll without breaking a sweat (or a formula)
• Make sure every number checks out earnings, deductions, reimbursements, variables
• Keep compliances (PF, ESI, PT, TDS) in line and on time
• Work with HR, Finance, and vendors to gather inputs and close loops fast
• Handle audits, reconciliations, and reports like a pro
• Keep payroll data clean, organized, and audit-ready always
• Be the go-to person for “Hey, quick question about my salary…”
• Manage full & final settlements and off-cycle payrolls
• Spot inefficiencies and automate them out of existence

What you’ll need

• 6-9 years of payroll experience (you’ve seen enough cycles to know where things break)
• Strong grip on Indian payroll compliance and taxation
• Excel skills that go beyond basic sums you’re friends with formulas
• Obsessive attention to detail (the good kind)
• Ability to handle sensitive data like it’s second nature
• A bias for action you fix things before they become problems
