Job Overview
Dicetek is urgently hiring PostgreSQL Administrator & Developer professionals for a government project in Dubai, UAE.
The position requires strong hands‑on experience in PostgreSQL database administration and SQL development. The ideal candidates should have experience managing production databases, maintaining database security and availability, developing SQL objects, and resolving performance and production issues.
Hiring Status: Urgent - Multiple Openings
Notice Period: 30 days or less
Location Requirement: Candidates must currently be based in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor and maintain PostgreSQL databases in production environments.
- Handle database backup, recovery, replication, security and high availability.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, functions, procedures, views and triggers.
- Perform database performance tuning, indexing and troubleshooting.
- Design database schemas and manage database migrations and deployments.
- Monitor databases and manage access permissions in Linux environments.
- Support application teams and resolve production database issues.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong hands‑on experience in PostgreSQL database administration.
- Experience managing production database environments.
- Expertise in backup, recovery, replication, security and high availability.
- Strong SQL development skills.
- Experience with performance tuning, indexing and database troubleshooting.
- Experience designing database schemas and managing migrations and deployments.
- Good knowledge of Linux, database monitoring and access permissions.
- Ability to support application teams and resolve production database issues.
- Must currently be based in the UAE.
- Notice period of 30 days or less.
