Commercial Real Estate Finance Attorney – Remote Contract

Beacon Hill Legal is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Finance Attorney to support the Asset & Corporate Finance practice group of a global law firm. This is an initial approximately six-month contract opportunity with the potential for extension or conversion to a long-term position.

The practice group represents lenders, borrowers, servicers, special servicers, and other market participants in a broad range of complex commercial real estate financing and structured finance transactions, including origination, securitization, and servicing matters.

The firm is seeking a professionally mature, self-starting attorney who can work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a sophisticated legal team.

POSITION DETAILS

Location: Remote

Duration: Approximately 6 months, with potential for extension or conversion

Pay Rate: Up to $93/hour, depending on experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the firm’s Asset & Corporate Finance practice on commercial real estate finance and structured finance matters

• Handle CMBS loan servicing matters involving performing and non-performing loans

• Assist with loan modifications, assumptions, equity transfers, consent requests, demand letters, and pre-default matters

• Support matters involving leveraged lending, securitizations, servicing and special servicing, and portfolio and balance sheet lending

• Work on securitization matters, including CMBS, CLO, and agency transactions

• Assist with complex financing transactions involving lenders, borrowers, servicers, special servicers, and other market participants

• Support the practice group on origination, securitization, and servicing matters

• Work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and clients across the firm’s global platform

QUALIFICATIONS

• Meaningful experience in commercial real estate finance

• 5+ years of relevant experience preferred

• Experience with real estate law and real estate finance strongly preferred

• Experience with leveraged lending, securitizations, servicing and special servicing, and/or portfolio and balance sheet lending

• Experience with CMBS, CLO, and/or agency securitizations preferred

• Experience handling commercial real estate loan servicing matters, including performing and non-performing loans, preferred

• Strong ability to work independently, take ownership of assignments, and operate with minimal supervision

• Professional maturity, sound judgment, and strong communication and organizational skills

• Active U.S. bar license required

• Must currently reside in the same state in which you are actively licensed to practice law

• Must reside in a state where the hiring firm maintains an office
