The Ultimate Leaders Programme is a dynamic opportunity underpinned around our ‘We Care’ culture designed to fast-track you in achieving a supervisory role upon completion of the programme.
Throughout the program, you will have the opportunity to experience different areas within our Rooms Department. Our senior leaders will be there to guide and support you as you develop the necessary technical and behavioral skills to become a well-rounded hospitality specialist.
During your time as a ULP, you will be able to take part in different training sessions organized by our Learning & Development team. These sessions are led by our Dorchester Collection Learning Academy, offering you valuable opportunities to gain exposure and learn.

What you'll do
- Our Rooms Division Ultimate Leaders will embark on a structured leadership development journey lasting 12 months, with the possibility of extending up to 18 months, rotating through key areas including Front Office, Guest Relations, Concierge, Housekeeping, Rooms Operations, and other guest-facing functions for periods of 3 to 6 months.
- Throughout the programme, you will be encouraged to think and act like a future leader, demonstrating initiative, accountability, and ownership while contributing to the success of your assigned departments.
- During your journey, you will be supported by a dedicated mentor who will provide guidance, coaching, and career development support as you begin your leadership career with The Lana, Dorchester Collection.
- You will participate in a comprehensive leadership development curriculum, covering topics such as leadership styles, emotional intelligence, coaching, feedback, communication, team engagement, operational excellence, and decision-making.
- Connect and learn directly from our Senior Leadership Team and Executive Committee members through mentorship, networking opportunities, and leadership exposure designed to help you become a legendary leader.
- Partner closely with our Learning & Development team through regular one-to-one sessions, workshops, and tailored development plans to strengthen your leadership capabilities and business acumen.
- Take responsibility for identifying opportunities to enhance operational excellence, improve service delivery, streamline processes, and elevate standards across the Rooms Division.
- Lead and contribute to projects focused on improving both the guest journey and employee experience, bringing innovative ideas and practical solutions that contribute to operational success.
- Play an active role in creating memorable and personalized guest experiences by anticipating guest needs, resolving challenges proactively, and delivering service excellence at every touchpoint.
- Work on business-critical and development projects, including operational improvement initiatives, presenting recommendations and measurable outcomes to department leaders and key stakeholders.
- Develop strong cross-functional relationships and collaborate with colleagues across the hotel to gain a comprehensive understanding of luxury hospitality operations and the guest experience ecosystem.
- Upon successful completion of the Ultimate Leaders Programme, high-performing candidates may be offered a permanent leadership opportunity within the Rooms Division and property, based on business needs and individual performance.
