Design, evaluate, and certify cutting-edge products and services. (From advanced mission payloads, electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital & space exploration systems. Examine complex metallic & composite structures and systems and be involved with the design & development of new products/processes throughout the product lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering or other related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience.
- Thorough understanding of engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
- Advanced knowledge of Static and/or Dynamic Analyses.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Engineering Simulation using Finite Element structural analysis (FEA) tools such as MSC Patran, Nastran, FEMAP, or ANSYS.
- Exp performing fatigue & damage tolerance analysis utilizing tools like NASGRO or AFGROW.
- Ability to perform classical analysis using industry standard hand calculation methods.
- Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles (parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing & production processes.
- Ability to author substantiation reports.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
