Staff Accountant

A growing organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with 1–4 years of experience who is ready to take the next step in their career, expand their responsibilities, and build a stronger foundation across the accounting function.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with month-end and year-end close activities

Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

Assist with preparation and review of financial statements and accounting reports

Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances

Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting documentation

Assist with accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and other accounting schedules

Support budgeting, reporting, and other financial analysis as needed

Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation

Collaborate with experienced members of the accounting team on process improvements and special projects

Take on additional accounting responsibilities as knowledge and experience grow

Qualifications

1–4 years of accounting experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles

Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activity

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Motivated to learn, take on additional responsibilities, and grow within an accounting team
