Detailed Job Description:
As an OT Cybersecurity Architect at Mekdam Holding Group in Qatar, you will take full ownership of industrial security strategy design, reference architecture development, multi-site OT segmentation planning, and executive stakeholder engagement. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass formulating enterprise-wide OT cybersecurity policies aligned with IEC 62443 and NIST standards, designing secure data diode architectures between IT and OT domains, leading capital project security reviews, and mentoring regional OT engineering teams. You will collaborate with executive leadership to allocate security budgets and evaluate emerging industrial security technologies. Working in a fast-paced industrial consulting environment in Qatar, you will drive enterprise-grade OT security transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and govern comprehensive enterprise OT cybersecurity master plans, reference architectures, and zero-trust frameworks.
- Formulate corporate OT security policies, standards, guidelines, and governance frameworks aligned with IEC 62443 and NIST SP 800-82.
- Design secure IT/OT boundary architectures utilizing industrial data diodes, encrypted VPN gateways, and DMZ enclaves.
- Lead cybersecurity reviews for major capital projects, greenfield plant expansions, and brownfield digital transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate proactively with chief information security officers (CISOs), plant directors, and corporate executives.
- Evaluate, select, and pilot cutting-edge industrial cybersecurity technologies, SIEM platforms, and asset discovery tools.
- Establish multi-site OT security baselines, incident response procedures, and disaster recovery architectures.
- Author executive briefings, board-level risk reports, and strategic roadmap documentation.
- Provide expert architectural oversight and mentorship to regional OT security engineers and technical leads.
- Ensure strict alignment between business operational goals, national critical infrastructure mandates, and security investments.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Automation, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 to 10 years of professional working experience in enterprise security architecture, with at least 5+ years dedicated to OT/ICS cybersecurity in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sectors.
- Strong technical proficiency designing enterprise-scale security architectures for industrial control systems and plant networks.
- Deep practical expertise in industrial security standards (IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, NERC CIP where applicable).
- Proven ability to lead executive-level stakeholder discussions, risk governance reviews, and security transformation programs.
- Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities and exceptional technical documentation and presentation skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Industry-recognized professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert, or SABSA Chartered Security Architect.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise security transformation projects across multi-national oil & gas operating companies.
- Advanced knowledge of cloud-based OT monitoring and industrial IoT (IIoT) security architectures.
- Prior working experience in major consulting firms (Big 4) or specialized industrial cybersecurity integrators.
