Senior Staff Accountant

The HT Group is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join a client team between the Warren and Kountze areas.
Position Details
•    Job Type : Contract to Hire / Full-Time
•    Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
•    Pay : $50,000–$60,000/year ($24–$29/hour), DOE
•    Dress Code : Business Casual / Professional
Key Responsibilities
•    Handle daily AP/AR , invoices, payments, and financial transactions.
•    Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
•    Prepare financial reports and summaries and help identify account discrepancies.
•    Maintain accurate financial records and assist with general accounting tasks.
•    Work with management and staff on accounting-related questions.
Requirements & Qualifications
•    2+ years of accounting experience , preferably with strong AP/AR experience.
•    Solid understanding of accounting principles and month-end close.
•    Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
•    Experience with Tyler Technologies or a similar accounting system is a plus; training will be provided on the company's system.
•    Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and follow-through.
•    Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
